Kevin Waida is a graduate student at Colorado State University. He is currently working toward a master of business administration, which he is set to achieve in 2017. Outside of his academic studies, Kevin Waida enjoys competing in fantasy football leagues.
As the general manager of Team Win, a team competing in a Columbia, Missouri, fantasy league, he drew on his knowledge of data and analytics, as well as more than 10 years of experience playing fantasy sports, to assemble a team that ultimately won the league championship. It was his second consecutive championship season in the league.
While several of the unorthodox trades and strategies misfired early in the season, Team Win continued to implement these techniques, eventually landing valuable players such as Odell Beckham Jr. and Adrian Peterson. By the time the final game of the season arrived, Team Win’s early mistakes were a thing of the past. Team Win overwhelmed Honey Badger in the championship match-up, winning 146 to 112.
